Bullying and Schools

This article in the NYT is superb. It's only a three-minute read, but makes some exceptionally important points...

First,

[some] children bully because they have emotional and developmental problems, or because they come from abusive families. They require our help more than our punishment.

Moving? The Kids Will be Fine... Won't They?

"The kids will be fine".

"Kids are resilient".

"They'll bounce back really fast".

These are just a smattering of similarly themed comments our family heard when we announced that after close to seven years in Brisbane, we were considering moving to Wollongong so I could pursue a Ph. D.
